According to Law 333/2003, the managers of the units that hold goods, valuables, storage media for documents, data and information of a state secret nature are obliged to ensure security, mechanical-physical means of protection and alarm systems against burglary in the places of keeping, storing and handling them, as well as in the places where activities of such a nature are carried out.
For the purposes of this law, the burglar alarm system means the set of electronic equipment that can be composed of a control center and optical and acoustic signaling, detectors, panic buttons and pedals, access control and closed-circuit television with possibilities of recording and storage of images and data, corresponding to the degree of security imposed by the characteristics of the guarded objective.
